Garden Open Day Weekend – June 7th & 8th, 2025

This year the Garden will be taking part in the NGS Hyde Park Estate Open Day on June 7th, and the London Open Gardens Weekend on June 8th (exclusively).

As a polite reminder: to respect paying guests and the efforts of the open-day facilitators, there is a four day moratorium on resident events @ Gloucester Square in the 2 days preceeding and 2 days forming the Open Garden Weekend.

Any residents attempting to host an unauthorised event during the moratorium will see their event immediately shutdown in addition to subsequent enforcement action.  Any gathering of 15 or more people (18 months or older) constitutes an event and requires prior approval from the Committee, for further details please see the Garden’s Events Section.

Saturday June 7th: Connaught Village in Green event & NGS Hyde Park Estate Open Day

On Saturday the Garden will be open (10:30-16:00) to visitors who have purchased a ticket to visit the Hyde Park Estate Gardens Open Day event, as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS).

The Hyde Park Estate Owner will be helping furnish Gloucester Square for the event with:

  • Additional Deckchairs
  • A Jazz Band (11:00 – 12:45)
  • An Ice Cream Cart (12:00 – 16:00)
  • Roaming Flower Tours

At the end of the 2024 season the National Garden Scheme announced donations of £3,501,227 to beneficial charities.

The NGS Open Day will run in tandem with the Connaught Village in Green Event, with a series of ticketed talks/workshops and live music at Oxford Square.

Sunday June 7th: London Open Gardens Event

On Sunday the Garden will be opening as part of the London Open Gardens event, coordinated by the London Historic Parks & Gardens Trust.

As part of this event, 110+ Gardens accross the capital will be opening their doors/gates to paying members of the public. Last year Gloucester Square rejoined the event for the first time since 2007, which combined with our new Playground and fine weather, led to over 350 ticket holders visiting our Garden.

Residents looking to see how our Garden compares to other communal gardens are encouraged to book tickets.

The large Estate Managed Gardens are typically open on the Saturday, including: Belgrave Square, Eaton Square, Portman Square. More local to us our the resident managed Cleveland Square and Montagu Square.

Some local resident-leg gardens opening on Sunday include: Bryanston Square, Hyde Park Square, Kensington Gardens Square, Lenister Square, Pembridge Square and Ladbroke Square.
