In addition to the Hyde Park Estate Gardens taking part in the National Open Garden Scheme on Saturday June 11th, a seperate organisation, London Gardens Trust, is running it’s annual Open Gardens event that same weekend. Tickets are £20 per adult with under-12s going free.
A map of the gardens taking part is provided below. Sadly Cleveland Square, one of the better-run local Gardens with similar features to Gloucester Square (a mix of buildings with and without Direct Access), will not be taking part this year.
Interestingly, several of the Gardens that Architectural Historian Dr Gordon Toplis claims followed the principle of Gloucester Square, are available to visit, including:
- Leinster Square Gardens W2
- Kensington Gardens Square W2
- Ladbroke Square Garden W11
- Stanley Crescent Gardens W11
- Enisomor Gardens SW7
- Courtfield Gardens SW5 (East and West)
- Collingham Gardens SW5
For tickets, and a full list of gardens participating, see the London Gardens Trust website.
